Where can I recycle my electronic waste?

 

In Haldimand County, take your obsolete electronic equipment such as computers, printers, VCR's, camcorders, scanners, fax machines, cellular phones, photocopiers, and electronic calculators to the Tom Howe Landfill Site, 611 Concession 15 Walpole 905-768-1746 (Haldimand Road 55 & Indian Line), for recycling. Electronic equipment disposal is free!

To prevent identity theft of information on computer hard drives remove them from towers & laptops and dis-assemble.

Battery Recycling:

1) Source by Circuit City, 151 Queen Street Dunnville - accepts rechargeable batteries e.g. from power tools and cell phones, etc.

2) Sayer's Home Hardware, 11-15 Main Street South, Hagersville - accepts batteries such as AAA and rechargeable bateries from power tools and cell phones, etc.

The City of Hamilton has three transfer stations with a free electronics drop off area for computer parts including monitors, modems, software, disks, scanners, printers, cellular phones, etc. Televisions are not accepted there. The three locations are: 37 Kilbride (Upper Ottawa & Rymal Road), 398 Kenora Avenue (Kenora & Bancroft) and 27 Olympic Drive (Dundas).
